My Approach
Open Heart Psychology is based on the belief that anyone can experience healing and personal growth by addressing difficult and painful experiences when done in the right way at the right time for them. Depression, Anxiety & Stress Scales
(DASS-21)
Developed at the University of New South Wales, the DASS-21 is a short, evidence-based questionnaire that measures levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. It is a helpful self-reflection tool for understanding your emotional wellbeing.

Adult ADHD Screening Tools
Testing tools
At Open Heart Psychology, we often receive enquiries from adults who are curious about whether their experiences may relate to ADHD.
The tools below are provided for personal reflection and awareness only. They do not replace a professional psychological assessment or diagnosis.
Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1)
Developed in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, this brief, validated questionnaire helps adults (18+) reflect on common symptoms of ADHD and their potential impact on daily life.

Jasper-Goldberg Adult ADHD Screening Quiz
Created by psychologist Dr Jasper Goldberg, this informal self-test explores patterns of attention, organisation, and impulsivity. It can be a helpful first step in understanding how ADHD traits might present in everyday life.

Please note: Results are for your personal reflection. If you have concerns about ADHD symptoms or how they may be impacting your life, we encourage you to reach out for a comprehensive assessment with a registered psychologist or psychiatrist.
The Highly Sensitive Person
(HSP) Self-Test
At Open Heart Psychology, we often meet clients who describe feeling “too sensitive” or “too emotional,” or who notice they are more affected by sounds, textures, or other sensory inputs than those around them. Sometimes, these experiences are part of a natural temperament trait known as high sensitivity, rather than a clinical mental health or neurodevelopmental condition.
Developed by psychologist Dr Elaine Aron, the HSP Self-Test is a short self-reflection tool designed to help individuals explore characteristics associated with high sensitivity. It can be a useful way to better understand your emotional and sensory responses and to identify patterns in how you process the world around you.

Adverse Childhood Experiences
(ACE) Questionnaire
The ACE Questionnaire was originally developed by the CDC and Kaiser Permanente to explore early life experiences that may influence health and wellbeing in adulthood. It can be a valuable tool for personal insight and understanding patterns that affect relationships, coping, and resilience.
Please note: This questionnaire can touch on sensitive topics related to trauma. It is intended for self-awareness and should be completed in a safe and supportive environment. If you find the content distressing, consider discussing it with a registered psychologist or mental health professional.
